Introduction of The Website

Peggy Bookstore was setup in 2001. One year later, we started to work on the website. We are giving thanks to Morgan to help us build the first website and those who gave me help when I had problems. The website has been updated many times. We also finished the English website to help the foreigners or the people come back from overseas to find the books in Taiwan.

Although we have updated the website several times, the main direction stays the same.  We focus on the “Story Books” and “Chapters Books” for kids and teenagers.  We classified all the books by different Topics to help to readers to find the books easily.  We also introduce the important rewards in the world and awarding books in the website.

Recently, we are holding different activities in the store. First, ”RENT” is to encourage the habit of mass reading.  Due to the unbalanced resource between the city and country, the costly English story books, our children didn’t really have much chance to read the English story books. By renting books can reduce expense of the parents and encourage the kids to read more. That’s why we got the idea to rent out the books. Secondly, “Story Telling” is to help the kids to know more various books. Thirdly, “Reading Camp” is to make more kids to read and learn English together and tightly.

Currently we are testing the “On-Line Reader”. It is to help the kids whose parents are busy or unable to read with them. It’s not easy to find the audio books for all the English story books.  In order to help the kids to read aloud and reduce the anxiety of learning English, We have this idea to read the books on line.  It’s free for our members and all the readers to use.

We hope we could be more professional in Children and Teenager Literature field in the future. It’s our hope to help the kids in Taiwan to read more English books to enrich their minds and eyesight.
