Salvatore Tocci is a science writer who lives in East Hampton, New york, with his wife, Patti. He was a high school biology and chemistry teacher for almost thirty years. As a teacher, he always encouraged his students to do experiments to learn about science. When he is not writing, he and his wife spend much of their time sailing their boat, the Royal T, on which they have a compass to direct them safely across the sea.
