在這個故事中描寫了Tom跟Lucy在無意間發現了一間密室，裏頭有很多失蹤一年多的爺爺的手稿，於是他們就很快的告訴其他的家人，也許爺爺還活著。最後他們決定照著在密室裏發現的地圖全家一起出動去找尋失蹤的爺爺，同時這也是一趟驚險刺激的探險之旅，他們在途中會發生什麼事呢？又會碰到那些人呢？最後他們會找到爺爺嗎？相當有趣的故事喔！
The Littles 系列故事主要是在描寫在人類(Big Valley)村莊裏的不為人所注意的小人國裏的人所發生的一些有趣的故事，例如上學的情形、探險、家人間的相處。雖然他們的體型跟我們比起來相對小很多，可是他們的社會型態跟我們卻是差不多呢！如果要說有什麼差別的話，應該是他們的「尾巴」吧！相當有趣而且生活化的小人國記事喔！適合9歲以上兒童閱讀。Tom and Lucy find a secret room!
“We’ll have to tell mother and father right away.” “Why?” aske dLucy. “ What did you find, Tom?”
“These papers belong to Grandpa Little, that’s why,” answered Tom. “This room---he must have come here and no one knew.”
“Grandpa Little?” asked Lucy. “But he.. He disappeared a couple of years ago. Everyone says he is probably dead… except Granny Little.”
Maybe Grandpa Little is alive! The Littles read his diary and study his maps. Can they find Grandpa Little? |
