Darcy doesn’t like her baby brother. She doesn’t like his smell. She doesn’t like his looks. And no one seems to understand her. No one, that is , except Gran, who says she doesn’t like the baby, either. Together Darcy and Gran spend a day in the park doing only things that babies can’t do. But on the way back home, the baby still very much on their minds, they have something of a change of heart. Jane Cutler’s story is a wonderful portrayal of a girl’s relationship with her grandmother, as well as a delightful account of how one child adjusts to a new sibling.
